We cordially invite you to consider joining the Fort Pitt Museum Associates (FPMA), the “friends” organization for the Fort Pitt Museum.

As a partner organization, FPMA assists the Fort Pitt Museum in achieving its mission by

• increasing the visibility of, interest in, and attendance at the Museum

• providing educational outreach to the community in order to educate the public about the Museum’s interpretative themes

• maintaining the Bastion Museum Shop

• strengthening the Museum’s exhibit program by helping to conserve historical materials, by acquiring additional artifacts and documents, and by sponsoring temporary exhibits (See information on the Acquisitions Fund below)

• maintaining and helping to expand the Museum’s library and archives

• attracting and encouraging volunteers who contribute the time and talents to the Museum

Membership Benefits

In addition to helping FPMA to assist the Fort Pitt Museum, all members receive benefits through their memberships. These include

• free admission to the Fort Pitt Museum

• reduced admission charges at all other sites of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission

• a 10% discount on purchases at the Bastion Museum Shop.
